As time passes by, people are finding places to escape the stressful life in the city and finding activities that suits to their budget. They wanted a place that is near but the view is extraordinary but not so crowded. Especially this coming summer, we always wanted to have an out of town trip. Maybe you are planning now with you friends and family where to go and do some water activities with a low cost budget but amazing getaway.
Burot Beach is located at Calatagan Batangas. A simple breakout with friends and even solo travelers can do this unwinding trip. We just took a day tour on this trip but I think it is better to have an overnight camping on the beach because you could set up bonfire and maybe it’s the best place to have a BBQ party! 😀
The management have tents that can be rented for only P400 for 2 persons or if you have your own tent you can bring it just like we did without extra charge.
How to get there:
- From Coastal Mall, ride a bus going to Calatagan, Batangas. P160 each. Tell the bus driver to drop you off at Calatagan Public Market.
- From there, you will see a lot of Tricycle Drivers and just tell them that you are going to Burot Beach. P25 each. They will drop you to the Main Entrance of the beach.
- After that you will ride a tricycle again worth P25 going to the Main Beach. You can buy a water (1 Gallon) inside worth .
After the tent has been settled, we started exploring the place. There are stores inside where you can buy meal. For an instance, we’ve just brought our own necessities and foods. We saw several people there that they are enjoying grilling while camping and it was a great idea especially if you took overnight on that particular place. Others brought guitar and enjoyed social activities while jamming.
Sand is creamy white and you will notice that the waters have a dark color on some parts. Other spots of the beach are grassy and there are some places where the floors are clear that you can spot starfishes. We also rented a boat (On that moment, we are 8 persons, P130 each) to have an island hopping. We’ve gone to the sand bar areas and you will observe that it was high tide. While sailing, you will see that there are parts of the sea having a dark hue. If you get near to it, you will see a lot of sea urchins! We’ve also done star fishing with new friends and unlimited swimming!
We’d washed up on the nearest washing rooms worth P10. But the water was terrible! T’was so hot like you are bathing on the hot spring! 😦
